went to GreenBelt with Stacy, Tim, Nick & Alan for a movie...
*Nice Theatre*
Wanted to watch FD4 but ended up watch YearOne instead..

Had some salad at some sports bar there..

Dinner supposed to be at Chilli's..
Some Mexican Restaurant..
But waiting time was really long so since we weren't hungry,
decided to shop a bit...
Stacy bought a Mango Dress & Heels...
I ordered a pair of PRETTY heels!!!
Almost SGD$100!!!!
But it's really nice n i need heels anyway~

After shopping,
Tim, Stacy & Alan cabbed off to another place while Nick & I cabbed back to the condo...
Need to change and prepare to club!!! =P

Met the whole group of 12 at the clubhouse before cabbing down to Club Manor =)
Enjoyed totally!!
They got 5 bottles of Chivas and kept making me drink "5sec"..
LOL I held my drinks well last night!! =P
It got boring when they started House music... Zzzz...
Nick and I joined Aaron and his girls upstairs for more R&B!! =P

Home @ 4am!!

Woke up to Nick and Alan's sms at 12pm...
Lunch at d clubhouse...
I think i need to stock up on Salads if Tim's apartment gets a fridge in...

Greetings from Manila, Philippines!!!

Everything's good so far...

But things here aren't as cheap as i thought it'll be...

Got to know more of my new colleagues and have had lots of fun since arriving!! =)

Airport at 7am..

Daddy, Mommy, Jerome & Jason sent me off...

I'm gonna miss my lil Jerome!!! =..(

Flew off at 9.40am,

Reached Manila at 1.25pm...

Upon reaching,

First stop: Mall of Asia..

It's supposedly 6times the size of Suntec!!!

Went there for lunch and to buy some neccesities..

Toilet roll, detergents, cleaning supplies, stock coffee and teas and food, etc etc...

Got to the apartment by 5.30pm...

Bonifacio Heights @ Taguig City...

It's supposedly an ATAS condo,

surrounded by Police HQ, Marines HQ and Army HQ..

Relatively safe...

My luggage was like 27kg...

Plus my groceries 3 heavy plastic bags full...

The bus stopped us at the main clubhouse and my apartment is like FREAKING FAR AWAY!!!

Pushed and pulled and panted over 20 mins and was perspiring like hell by the time i got there!!!

WORST!!!!

My apartment has a living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms for 5 girls and ONLY ONE TOILET!!

PLUS it was DIRTY and crammed with furniture in the living room!!!

PLUS PLUS PLUS!!!

We don't have a cupboard to hang our clothes!!!!

*My clothes are still in my luggage =.=*

Jerlyn & I were the first to arrive,

Joyce and Mee Nai were in the afternoon flight...

and ShuiYuan was on Thursday evening's flight...

Jerlyn and I cleaned the WHOLE place up and tried to shift the furniture to make the place more spacious...

The bedsheets had brown spots on them!!!

Both Jerlyn & I changed d bedsheets for all 5 beds!!!

I've never cleaned so hard in my life...

I appreciate my maid a lot more now!!!

Dinner at the clubhouse..

Waited SUPER long for the food to come!!!

Had Cordon Bleu Chicken and it was nice..

But some ate the beef...

The kitchen can only make it WELL WELL DONE!!

LOL!!!

Meals here are same priced as Singapore...

After dinner,

headed back to clean up further and wait for Joyce and Mee Nai...

Slept at 2am...

Woke up at 7.30am...

Met at clubhouse at 9am...

Tour Day...

We were brought to see Mckinley Hill,

a chill out place with Starbucks and MacDonalds and all...

Just 5 mins away from our apartment...

Then went to Green Hill for shopping and lunch..

Didn't but anything except for an incense burner + aroma therapy oil for 350pesos...

Lunch @ Delifrance was provided for today..

Didn't have much of an appetite so shared with Jerlyn...

Next stop was GreenBelt in Makati...

Had almost 3 hours to walk around...

GreenBelt is like Suntec on a small scale..

5 different shopping buildings all connected...

GreenBelt 1 to GreenBelt5,

the lower the belt number, the cheaper it got..

Went to GB5 and strolled into LV, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, etc...

My favourite was probably GB3...

Some of the guys in the group went for a haircut so the few of us had drinks at GB3...

3bottles of beer @ 150pesos (SGD$5)!!!

SWEET!!!!!

Supposed to go to Market Market after but not enough time so we went back to the condo...

Stacy & I decided to swim =P

Joshua also joined us.

Dinner at clubhouse again after....

Went back to the apartment after...

Rested a little before meeting some of them at the clubhouse...

CLUBBING!!!!

Total 12 of us..

9 guys and 3 girls..

We shared the cab with Kris..

Wanted to got to Embassy..

It's apparently the place to be seen!!

Local celebritys go there...

BUT the place was closed...

Some stabbing case last week... -_-"

Went to Tabu but didn't like it..

Ended up at some place called Guilley's...

LOVE IT!!!!!

D guys bought 2btls Hennessy, 2btls, Chivas & 1btl Martel...

the 2hennessys disappeared within 1/2 hr....

Stacy, Diana, Tim and Bob went back first coz Bob was drunk...

Danced the night thru!!!!!

Left at 5.30am and almost got pickpocketed while getting onto the cab...

Lucky the guys spotted and shouted!!

The poor boy was also shocked coz the pocket of my bag he picked only held a padlock...

LOL!!!!

Got back and changed,

slept like a PIG!!!

All the way til almost 4pm...

Met at clubhouse at 5pm...

Dinner for the whole batch...

Went to this resto called Dad & Mom near Mall of Asia...

After dinner,

went to MOA coz some of the guys wanted to get some stuff...

Stacy, Tim and I went for a massage and spa after...

24hrs spa place with free food!!!

heheehehe!!!!

Finished close to 2am before cabbing back....

Gonna have training later at 7am...

And it's now nearly 6am...

Gonna bathe and head out...

I've not been to church in like FOREVER!!!
It felt foreign at first but i got settled in by the Gospel reading...
I remember why I miss church..
It's got a calming effect on me =)

After church,
picked Jerome from home and headed to J8 for lunch..
Jerome wanted Sakae Sushi so Jap food in was!!

At night,
Just brought food home from Ah Ma's place...

Baby enjoyed the chix wing!!
It was ALL OVER his face!!!!
Such a joy to watch him eat sometimes!!!

o.O Their Beef Salad is FANTASTICO!!!!!
Leo likes their Tofu & Zucchini Fingers but i thought it wasn't that nice really.. =P

12th August:
Facial @ Jean Yip Bugis...
DON'T go there!!
Bad service and Bad attitudes!!!

I was a little late...
When i got there,
no one was at the counter..
Was ringing the bell for a good 5 mins and no one responded!!
Then after 10mins,
someone from the hairdressing side came out and saw me and hurried to ask someone out....

AND!!!
When i was ready for my facial,
the main lights wouldn't dim...
There was this overhead lamp directly above me so the lady doin my facials used that instead...
When she turned it over,
the head of the lamp FELL on ME!!!!!
All she said was sorry...
And did nothing else!!!!



Not gonna complain..
But NEVER EVER going back to Jean Yip for a facial again!!!

13th August:
9am @ Midpoint Orchard..
My Dental appointment with Dr Reza...
Removal of my right upper & lower wisdom tooth...

5 injections for local anesthesia,
the lower tooth was the worse coz it was angled sideways...
I was looking thru the reflection of my dentist's goggles as he broke the tooth apart to remove it....
And BOY it was a bloody sight!!!!

It was about 2 hours long and they gave me my 2 teeth as souvenir...

My Upper tooth in one piece..
And my Lower tooth in pieces..

So labour pains top my pain list..
I'd say this is a second for me!!!!
I was nearly in tears once the numbness wore off..

I headed to PS to collect my phone..
And Daddy was there to take me shopping...
However after probably 10mins of walking,
I was in too much pain & wanted to head home...
There are FEW things to make me give up a day of shopping with Daddykins..
This was THAT bad!!!! =P

Tried to sleep it off when i got home but i'd get up every 20mins and wither in agony =.=!
The 6 mefenamic acid pills i took did not really help... =(
I was glad when i finally managed to fall asleep...

14th August:
Felt lots better after the long sleep...
Still pretty swollen but at least the pain is not as bad anymore =)

Daddykins took me for lunch & shopping @ PS...
Wanted to go to Takashimaya too but no time =(

6th August:
Still angry bout what happened at Dbl O!!!

Picked Jerome from school @ 5pm...
Brought him down to CityHall to collect my laptop..
o.O Had to buy a new battery coz it's spoilt and no longer under warranty...

Walked around Raffles Shopping Centre then Baby wanted to have Pizza Hut for dinner...
Trained down to Bishan J8 for Pizza Hut...


Baby ate 3/4 of his Hawaiian personal pan and some of my pasta =)
But the service there was TERRIBLE!!!
Even the table next to mine got up and left after the staff forgot the order.. TWICE!!
I've been there 3 times and i complained of service each time...
The manager ALWAYS has a multitude of reasons but they NEVER improve!!!

The manager was like "Oh sorry we're having staff shortage and some newbies" ..
Helloo!!! That's not my freakin problem!!
I'm a Mom out ALONE with a restless toddler...
DO NOT make me MAD!!!

7th August:
Woke up early to Justina bursting into my room...
"Jie can watch a horror movie with me... I'm scared..."
Yup that's my lil sister =.="

Watched Stay Alive with her...
I'm not a horror movie person either...
Good exercise...
It kept my heart pounding crazy!! =.="

Met Russell in Gardens at 4pm..
HappyDaze for a drink and to catch up!!
Been awhile since I've seen him,
It's so fun hanging with him!!
Justin was nearby too so he dropped by for awhile!! =)

Leo picked me up from Gardens..
He'd originally given me 3 options:

Mietta's looked good but i found Sage and decided to go there instead...

The bread was FANTASTIC!!!
I'm totally serious!!!
Nice warm yummylicious re-fillable bread!!!


We also had a bottle of their red Italian house wine..
Not all house pours taste bad!! =)
It was nice and fruity!!
This wine was my kind of wine!! =)
(Just a tad too young thou~)


They gave us some complimentary tuna something to start the meal..
Both Leo and i are not big fans of cooked tuna...
But this was pretty nice =)

Appetizer:

Wagyu Beef Carpaccio
Wagyu beef carpaccio with shavings of summer truffles,
truffle scented mascarpone parfait and Arugula salad

The beef and truffles would have been ultra plain if the parfait was not a part of it..
But i'd give it a 8/10..
It was good!! =)


Escargot
Gratin of Burgundy escargot flambéed with pastis and bone marrow,
braised lentil du puy with sautéed field mushrooms and garlic

It was good enough for Leo's palate...
*It's hard to find food to please Leo*
But I'm an escargot person and this did not appeal to me...
Plus the lentils made it worse....
It's a 5/10 to me...

Soup:

Mushrooms
Cappuccino of wild mushrooms with truffle infused scrambled eggs,
asparagus and morel cream

The highly recommended Mushroom soup!!
The truffle with scrambled eggs was a tad to salty for us so we sent it back to the kitchen..
The service staff made sure they got it right for us and i really really liked their attitude on how they handled the situation!!
This was Leo's favourite..
The best mushroom soup he has tasted so far!!
It was really good but i have tasted better before..
BUT it was really good!!!
It'd give it 8.5/10!!!

I was by now pretty full actually..
And we were smiling ear to ear,
extremely happy with the food!!! =)

Main:

Some Kurobuta Pork something that was not on their a la carte menu..
Leo ordered this from their Degustation Menu...

It was pretty good but not to my liking...
Leo liked it a lot thou...
The pea paste went perfect with the complimentary bread!! =)
And even if i didn't appreciate the food,
it does not mean this was bad...
It was actually very good and flavorful!!
I'd give it an 8/10!!



Duck Confit
Duck leg confit on a Savoy cabbage parcel stuffed with a fricassee of field mushrooms and foie gras, potato puree and Pommery mustard jus

Also highly recommended on reviews..
This was a HUGE disappointment...
I couldn't even see the foie gras...
We figured it was stuffed in as the menu said but we couldn't even taste it...
The duck itself tasted off...
It might have been nice but i think it was a bit over cooked...
The only thing that tasted good was the cabbage parcel and the mashed potatoes....
Huge let down...
It's a 3/10....

*Our faces went from extremely happy and smiley at the start of dinner to super sianx and expressionless by the end of it*

It was like uber anti-climax......

Price-wise was fair @ about $250..

However I'd still recommend the place...
The kind of service standard they have warrants it another visit!!
And their Bread and Mushroom soup is fantastic!!
Plus food reviews also recommend their
Foie Gras, Coq au vin, YellowTail KingFish, Beef Cheek, Cod Fish, Creme Caramel, Chocolate Fondant and Chocolate Fantasy!!!!

I was too full for their dessert this time so i hope to go back and try it soon!! =)
